Heading into today’s open, the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) closed yesterday at $707.64, up 0.04%, while the S&P 500 (SPY) finished at $761.78, down 0.03%. The VIX currently reads 16.43, within its recent 90-day range of 14.13-23.34; this suggests relatively stable implied volatility despite ongoing concerns about the Federal Reserve’s path given the 10-Year Treasury Yield at 4.80%.
This week we're leaning into Energy (XLE), Healthcare/Defensive (XLV), and Gold (GLD). XLE stands out with a +10.7% one-month momentum, trading above its 50-day trendline and benefiting from macro tailwinds. XLV also displays strength with +5.9% one-month momentum, exceeding its 50-day moving average providing defensive positioning. Finally, GLD shows +6.0% one-month momentum, benefitting from debasement concerns and safe haven demand, also above the 50-day trend.
Last week’s sectors presented a varied picture. Technology (XLK) returned -1.8%, while Financials (XLF) gained 2.3%. Industrials (XLI) lagged with a return of -0.6%, underperforming the broader market and triggering its removal from this week's picks.

TradeWise Club was born from a simple frustration: working professionals shouldn't have to choose between their careers and the market. Earnings move overnight, sectors rotate intraday, drawdowns happen in minutes. Reacting to that has traditionally meant sitting in front of a screen all day. Most people can't. Most who try end up losing more to bad timing than they ever gain from being "in the market."
TradeWise Club closes that gap. It's an automated, methodology-driven system that monitors the market continuously and generates daily stock recommendations grounded in a comprehensive multi-factor framework. For deployed capital, it executes trades that capture upside while protecting against the downside. The goal is simple: capture meaningful returns without requiring constant screen time.
